Money Making Mondays: Invest in 2nd not 1st

Since I can remember when talk of money, currency, and longevity was spoken of, each time the conversation would end with “invest in gold”. Which makes sense, as the value of the U.S. dollar fluxuates overtime; what will remain constant is the value of gold. Although the suggestion of investing in gold still rings true, it is no longer the best advice to give.

Silver is actually the new gold. Yes. Silver. While gold is a great investment, silver is currently worth more than gold by a fraction. Over the years to come silver will advance this gap between the two. So next time some suggests going for the gold tell them “Nahhh. I’ll take the Silver”.

Join The Love Movement

Mr. Sean Combs otherwise known as P. Diddy is off on another movement. I must say concur with his actions. Spread the love. Join the movement.

Join The Procession

Converse begins their Fall 2010 brand campaign with a sharp focus on on the Chevron Star and all kicks stamped with the fame one-star, such as the new Star Player Evo. To kick off fall the right way, Converse has also enlisted the help of some creative family and friends for the Fall 2010 ad, “The Procession”. The new ad fuses everything which fuels Converse as a brand, from sports to music and culture. The stars marching in the new procession include basketball legend Julius “Dr. J” Erving; Carlos Arroyo of the Miami Heat; musicians Jim Jones and Doug E Fresh; legendary ball-handler God Shammgod and Harlem streetball player Adrian “A-Butta” Walton; Converse skaters Kenny Anderson, Sammy Baca, Rune Glifberg and Eli Reed; all set to the thunderous “Hello Operator” by alternative rock band, The White Stripes. The ad is directed by the ever-talented, award-winning filmmaker, Antoine Fuqua.

This is arguably one of the most entertaining videos pertaining to basketball that I've seen since well...since the Nike Freestyle commercials.

Throwback Of The Day: Nobody Does It Better

One of my favorite songs of all time. I had my 30GB iPod on shuffle today and this song randomly came on. Instantly it brightened my day. A few concepts based off this song are swarming in my head. But, still fuzy. I'll keep you posted.

A Cool Opportunity

In the Los Angeles and looking for some new kicks? Sneaker Pimps is hitting L.A. on Thursday, October 7th, so your opportunity for swapping heat has arrived. Also featured at the event will be a live performance by Travis Barker (of Blink182 fame) and the Cool Kids as well as a the release of their 3D video for ‘Jump Down’, and a live demo of EA Sports NBA Elite ‘11 will be presented. Sports, music, and kicks convene into one mega-event so don’t miss out on Sneaker Pimps Los Angeles on Thursday, October 7th. More information is listed after the jump.

We will definitely show face at this event. It looks ehh cool to say the least. Haha. In gearing up for this event I think we'll release a couple of new designs just for the occasion. Stay tuned.

Print Preparation Pt.1

Shirts in. Check. I have this infatuation with boxes! For me boxes signify two things. Either we are getting ready to print. Or about to ship. Both for me are extremely exicting. However today we are getting ready to print a huge order as we get ready for our Fall/Winter line drop.

Films! Films! Films! I'm always a little nervous about the transition from computer to reality, but it looks like the result will be great! S/O to Eric (the guy who does my films)! Lol.

Today 3 boxes were recieved for tomorrows order. A tremendous amount? Not really. But I realize that I gotta start somewhere. I was taken back to my childhood days as I remember watching Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark with my familia. The scene that really stands out is the closing scene with all the boxes. Just think, at some point and time that room only had 3 boxes in it as well. I think I just got motivated.

Tough It Out

Sometimes we get tired. That's a concrete fact set in stone. However, what is not concrete is our future. Everyday we have the ability to affect our future tomorrow. So tonight despite being tired, school, the homework, the job, and all the other distractions that the college life may bring (which there are many), I am gearing up for a long night in the computer lab. I want to look back on tonight and identify this post as the night that was a contributing factor for my future. I have a few great concepts in mind. I want to be EXTRA creative tonight so I have the "A" (Lupe and Kanye) playlist turned all the way up. Let's work.

POWER

New blog new beggings. On the constant quest for success, today I have this song in mind. POWER. What is it? How do I obtain it? Can I see it? Kanye said "No one man should have all that power." But what about an Individual?
